Embracer Group has announced in its latest financial report that the much-anticipated cooperative zombie shooter Killing Floor 3 will be launched on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S by the end of the current fiscal year. This sets the release date before April 2025.
The company's financial disclosure highlighted its expectations for Killing Floor 3 and Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 to launch in the 2024/25 fiscal year, which concludes on March 31, 2025. Embracer Group predicts that these games will achieve performance comparable to recent hits such as Dead Island 2 and Remnant 2.
The report stated, "For the fiscal year 2024/25, we anticipate that two significant releases, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 and Killing Floor 3, will successfully hit the market, performing on par with Dead Island 2 and Remnant 2 from the previous fiscal year."
These two games are part of Embracer Group's broader plan to launch 70 projects in fiscal year 2024/25, including three significant yet-to-be-announced titles.
Killing Floor 3 was first unveiled at Gamescom Opening Night Live 2023, marking a return for the series nearly eight years after its predecessor. Despite the initial announcement, Tripwire Interactive has been mostly silent about the game's specifics, sparingly sharing details about the new adversaries, known as Zeds in the game's universe.
In August 2023, the game's creative director, Bryan Wynia, shared that Killing Floor 3 will include microtransactions for cosmetic items, enabling players to customize their appearances in ways that align with the game's thematic elements.
